U3A search for new premises
IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR U3A TOWNSVILLE MEMBERS
The Committee wishes to advise members that our current lease expired in June. Our landlord kindly allowed us to stay on a casual basis, but we have now received an official Notice to Vacate by 31 December 2026. This means we must find a new home by the end of this year.
What we are doing:
Finding an affordable space with an office and two to three classrooms is challenging. The Committee is actively exploring all options, though most properties found so far are beyond our financial reach. We have also reached out to our local State MPs for assistance.
How you can help:
If you know of any suitable, affordable properties in the Townsville area, please let us know. Please email the details, including the address and the contact information for the person in charge, to the Administration Office.
Business as usual:
For now, all classes and activities continue exactly as scheduled. We will keep you updated as soon as we have significant news.Our organisation has always thrived because of the resilience and support of our members. With your ideas and involvement, we are confident we will find a suitable new home to continue the learning, friendships, and community that make U3A Townsville so special.
